Frequently Asked Questions
For rehab sessions and physio appointments, Yes!
Generally you will get more out of the session if you come alone (time to concentrate and some mummy down-time to refresh!) but you are more that welcome to bring your bub until they are moving. We will try to incorporate them into exercises with you to make the sessions better for you both.
Babies and children are welcome in all of our physio appointments, we get it and we make it work! We also have lovely receptionists on hand to help for short periods of hands on treatment if needed.
For massage sessions; Sorry, no! It's a little too much to ask of our admin team to cover these sessions as the hands on component is much longer than physio consults.
Menstruation
Unless you have a day of particularly heavy flow, it is no problem for us to do a pelvic floor internal assessment whilst you are on your period, however, the most important thing for us is for you to feel comfortable so if you do need to re-schedule for this reason, please give us as much notice as possible.
Medicare
If you have been referred on a chronic disease management plan or enhanced primary care plan by your GP, there is a medicare rebate available on 1:1 sessions. It is currently $58.30 and the rest of your consultation fee is our of pocket (fees online), higher rebates are possible if you have already reached your medicare safety net but are determined by medicare. We are able to process this on the spot for you via our EFTPOS terminal if you being your paperwork, medicare cards and a bank card to have the rebate refunded (credit cards do not work).
Rehab Classes: We require more than 6 hours for class cancellations or the full fee will be charged.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we are committed to being understanding and flexible whenever possible. However, please note that our practitioners dedicate their time and expertise to each appointment, and late cancellations or no-shows prevent us from offering the appointment slot to other patients in need.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy. By scheduling an appointment with Surf Coast Physiotherapy and Pilates Clinic, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our cancellation policy outlined above. We endeavour to keep on time for our appointments - we appreciate you arriving on time in order for us to achieve this.
We offer a range of small group Pilates sessions for Pregnancy, Postnatal and Over 50s.

We pay our respects to elders past, present and future who continue on this path.
