One-to-One Mentoring
for Pelvic Health Physiotherapists

Clinical confidence. Business clarity.
Someone genuinely in your corner.

Maybe you've just finished your pelvic health training and suddenly realised there's still so much you don't know.

Maybe you've got a complex patient booked tomorrow morning and you're second guessing your treatment plan.

Maybe you've been dreaming about starting your own practice, but every time you sit down to make a plan, another hundred questions pop into your head.

Or maybe you've already taken the leap and discovered that running a business is equal parts exciting, rewarding and completely overwhelming.

The truth is, almost every physiotherapist has moments where they wonder if they're good enough, experienced enough, or making the right decision.

Imposter syndrome? Welcome to the club.

You don't have to navigate those moments alone.

Sometimes all you need is someone who's been there. Someone who'll listen without judgement, ask the right questions, share what they've learned, and help you move forward with confidence.

That's why I created this mentoring service.

Hi, I'm Lynne Watts, a physiotherapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience and over 12 years working in pelvic health.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne, have taught Pilates to physiotherapists as an APPI instructor, am part of the APA Pelvic Health Level 1 and 2 tutor pool, and have been fitting pessaries for several years.

I also founded Surf Coast Physiotherapy & Pilates in 2018.

What started as a small one woman show has grown into a thriving clinic with an incredible team of physiotherapists.

Importantly, I still treat patients every week, mentor my own clinicians and run the business every day. The conversations we have won't be based on theory or something I did years ago. They'll be grounded in what's happening in pelvic health and private practice right now.

More than mentoring

One of my favourite parts of mentoring is watching someone gradually realise they're far more capable than they thought.

I believe in your potential, even if you don't quite believe it yourself yet.

Sometimes confidence doesn't come before action.

Sometimes it comes because someone else believes in you first.

My hope is that every conversation leaves you with a little more clarity, a little more confidence and a reminder that you're probably doing better than you think you are.

I'll challenge you when you need it.

Celebrate the wins with you.

Help you navigate the hard days.

And genuinely cheer you on as your career grows.

Why I offer mentoring

I've been incredibly fortunate throughout my career to learn from exceptional clinicians, mentors and business coaches.

  • Each one taught me something different.

  • Some helped me become a better clinician.

  • Some taught me how to lead.

  • Some challenged my thinking.

  • Some helped me build a business.

  • Some simply believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

I'll always be grateful for what they've contributed to my journey.

As my own career evolved, I realised how valuable it would have been to have one person who understood both worlds. Someone who could help me become a better pelvic health physiotherapist while also navigating the challenges of building and growing a private practice.

That's the space I hope to fill.

I'll share what I've learned, ask the right questions, offer honest advice, and genuinely cheer you on while you build the career and business you want.

Building a business while building a family

I started my practice just before my daughter turned one.

During the years the clinic experienced its biggest growth, I also welcomed my son.

Like many pelvic health physiotherapists, I was building a private practice while raising a young family, without grandparents nearby to lend a hand.

I understand the juggle.

The excitement.

The exhaustion.

The ambition.

The self-doubt.

The guilt.

The feeling that you're constantly trying to do justice to your patients, your business and your family all at once.

If that's a season of life you're navigating too, I understand.

Is mentoring right for you?

You might be:

  • New to pelvic health and wanting a safe place to ask questions without feeling judged.

  • Working somewhere without experienced pelvic health support.

  • Looking for help with clinical reasoning or complex cases.

  • Thinking about starting your own practice.

  • Running a practice and wanting practical guidance from someone who's been through the early years.

  • Looking for an experienced sounding board before making important decisions.

  • Wanting someone who genuinely believes in your potential, even if you don't quite believe in yourself yet.

If you've read this far and you're thinking, "She's describing me."

You're probably in the right place.

My approach

There isn't one perfect way to build a career.

And there certainly isn't one perfect way to build a business.

My role isn't to tell you what your journey should look like.

It's to help you think clearly, make confident decisions and avoid having to learn every lesson the hard way.

If I've developed a framework, process or way of approaching something that could genuinely save you time, I'm always happy to share it where appropriate.

The goal isn't to create another version of my career.

It's to help you build yours.

What can we work on?

Every mentoring session is tailored to you.

Bring the tricky patient you've been thinking about all week.

Bring the business idea that's been sitting in your notes app for six months.

Bring the question you feel a bit silly asking.

Or simply bring yourself and we'll work through whatever is in front of you.

Together we might cover:

One final thing

One lesson I've learned throughout my career is that different mentors serve different purposes at different stages.

My hope is that I can be exactly the mentor you need right now.

And when the time comes that you've outgrown me, I'll be the first person cheering you on and pointing you towards your next great mentor or coach.

Because that's what great mentoring should do.

" One of the smartest business owners I know."

I’ve known Lynne for more than eight years and watched her grow her physio business from the early stages. She is genuinely one of the smartest business owners I know.

Lynne has an exceptional ability to see the bigger picture, identify gaps and potential sticking points, and think several steps ahead. She is strategic, commercially astute and action-oriented, while also being incredibly generous with her knowledge and relationships.

Lynne is also a mum who protects her time and honours her boundaries, and she has built a business in a way that reflects her priorities.

It’s extremely rare to find someone who is truly world-class in their professional skill set and who also has strong commercial instincts. Lynne is one of those people.

I have enormous confidence in her as a mentor for any practitioner wanting to become not only better at what they do, but smarter and more intentional about the business they are building around it.

Let's have a conversation

If we've never met before, welcome.

I'd love the opportunity to hear your story, understand where you're at, and help you take your next step.

Whether we work together once, over several months, or I simply help point you in the right direction, I'll be genuinely invested in seeing you succeed.

Because our profession needs more great pelvic health physiotherapists.

More thoughtful clinicians. More confident business owners. More women who back themselves.

Maybe I can help you become one of them.
